The space between the solar (masculine) and the Lunar (feminine) eclipse in early November is a transitional corridor and one that asks us to go into the depths of our psyches. Whatever is troubling us, whatever is stuck, whatever is just not working for us,  is a product of our own psyche and we must go into our own darker corners to see why that is. This is the great work, the place where transformation happens and as Clarissa says where the chance for the new to be born. 

Use these days to ask yourself truthfully ( now that is the key as we are often in a state of pretence that things are ok, we dare not speak out about what we really want or desire!) , truthfully sit and take the time to ask yourself what in your life is done/over? 

What is not working? 

What are you settling for because you are afraid to go after something different? 

Where do you settle for less? 

Hold on?

Where do you expect too much, be greedy?

Say one thing do another?

Put on an act instead of being authentic?

Seek to have power over others?

Focus on obtaining matter? 

What are my shadow behaviours?
Where am I imbalanced in my masculine and feminine principles?

 

 

One of the key things that will become strikingly obvious over the next couple of years as we head into the darkest descent this world has seen in a long time, is the glaringly obvious fact that the masculine principle in this planet is dangerously dominating.  This patriarchy as we call it isn’t just about the sexes, it’s not an anti-male word or a feminist claim, for we all hold the masculine principle, let me remind you of just a few so that you get an idea ….

 

Driven 

Destructive 

Conviction 

Assertiveness

Power

Authority 

Structured 

Logic 

Thinking 

Physical power 

Penetrative 

Dominating 

Owning 

Building

 

 

 

 

And if we compare to the feminine principles are:

 

Loving 

Flowing

Nurturing 

Birthing 

Creating 

Surrender

Releasing 

Receiving 

 

 

 

These are just the beginning of the lists, but you get the idea. The one thing in this patriarchal world, that will become more obvious is that the feminine principle on this planet is largely diluted. As someone who identifies as a female,  I am also conscious of the fact that I am an animus-driven woman ( I hold a lot of masculine principles  and behaviours.) This was something I discovered more deeply when I embarked on a Jungian individuation process, after doing a lot of shadow work.  I realised that because I was largely animus driven,  I was also responsible for the patriarchal concentration on this plane. That really hit home and I began to do some serious work on myself to make my animus complex conscious and not be his slave, to allow my feminine principle to reign within my body. I am having to work on healing why my feminine principle was not safe enough to be more dominant in my psyche and uncovering this has been intense: ancestral wounds, a result of my social upbringing, parental imprints and wounds, peers and course the collective and its history. 

 

I realise that being a woman is not a pass out of patriarchy, not at all,   many of us behave and act mostly to our masculine principle. It has been a reaction to all of the events of the past. Men are also unable to access their anima ( their feminine principle ) and so we can begin to see the problems in our world with the domination of the masculine principle… there is no polarity.  I would even go as far as saying that this generation who now identifies as different genders than their physiology is of no surprise,  as the future generation begins to tune into the different principles within themselves and  explore and seek to find balance in themselves, in this world. I see the symbology of the androgynous human being as the ultimate evolution of the human as one that has balanced both the masculine and feminine principles within themselves which leads to the Heiros Gamos: The Divine marriage.  I believe before this happens we must address a state of polarity. The feminine and masculine principles must be balanced in the collective for there to be harmony, equilibrium, peace and true divinity. We are a long way from home. 

 

What I think this asks of all of us is to take a look at the imbalance inside of us, it does not exclude anyone, what you identify as, what sex you are born as have changed to is irrelevant as we dive into the masculine and feminine within our self and ask what is dominating, what needs healing? 

Why am I like how I am? 

What shadow behaviours do I exhibit? ( because we all have a shadow and so few are aware of the depth of that shadow) 

How are the masculine and feminine principles within me operating?

 

Imagine a world full of people that started to do this, started to be accountable and knowledgeable of their own behaviours, wounds, traumas, imbalances, and shadows? 

 

We would see less hatred and division, we would see the wounds hold inside, and the wounds others hold inside,  and then we could all admit that the world was a collection of our wounds and it was time for us all to focus on healing this together!

 

We would see transformation and birth .. we would see the great change because we are the great change. Many of us are barking on about doing the healing work, living less superficially, less on the surface, being overly concerned and spending energy and time on things that don’t matter ( the size of your ass, whether you got the latest car if you are looking too old etc ) until we all begin to focus inward and do the healing, pull out of the traps ( the consumerism,  celebrity worship, media,  fake spirituality, the focus on how you look…) we will be taken down in the descent until we do.  

 

Use the energies the cosmos is giving us wisely. Great change can come … and it's down to us all.
