"To Balance our cultural indoctrination. We need to do our shadow work on a daily basis. The first reward is that we diminish the shadow we impose on others. We contribute less to the general darkness of the world and do not add to the collective shadow that fuels war and strife.” Robert Johnson
Life is symbiotic , it is the process of opposing forces trying to come together, we are all culturally taught to adhere to one side, to adhere to a set of rules or laws and oppose the opposite. Life becomes a contradiction of good or bad, light or dark and we pool to the side that our culture imposes upon us. If we were for one moment stop to see the see saw of life , the two opposing forces as a divine force that are ultimately trying to meet then we would observe a very holy point , a place where all unifies.
I have embarked on shadow work because it is life changing, I have ventured into the dark because for years I skated on the light dancing with the nice, the positive, the good, the make it better for years, hiding all that was dark, bad and negative. The results of this usually manifest in our lives as horrible events, accidents, diseases, illness and tragedy .. a big collision of the opposite force trying to reveal itself to us. When we are work with the shadow self we begin to take some sort of control of the uncontrolling natures that cause havoc in our life, we don’t try to avoid them, we try to work with them, we let the opposing sides meet and in this moment true movement, change, integration happens. I took the ladies of my current course The Violet Rose through part of this teaching last night as they are all very deep into the shadows of their feminine archetypes and hoped to cast some light on the process they were going through as we illuminated their dark sides. The crash they feel into the dark will only ever bring them a synthesis and a resolution as they make their way back into the light. We simply cannot live on one side, we are preaching the wrong sermon if we are focusing on only the positive as we are missing out the beautiful dichotomy of life itself.
Life is both polarities and you simply cannot avoid the opposite , if you do it will manifest as shadow in your unconscious and project itself into your life.
I will be leading people through their inner dichotomy , a meditative journey through a very sacred and ancient process that allows a more balanced and integrative approach to life this Thursday ‘THE MANDORLA’.
I wish that all humans could embrace both sides of all spectrums so that wars, virus and all the other problems we face as a civilisation didn’t have to manifest in our collective.
