We all woke up this morning having had very vivid dreams of our grandparents who have passed. We were all very touched, deeply feeling their connection and their love in our hearts. In our dreamscape the dead can come and visit us, they can return to us in the unconscious realms, and last night they did exactly that. I am often visited by loved ones that have passed, and I always wake to feel very grateful for the visit and the reminder that liminal space exists for such connection.

 
 

It’s hardly surprising as the veils begin to thin on Samhain and it has made me ponder on the importance of my connection to the ancestors and how I stand now as a representation of them, all their struggles, all their achievements. I am the embodiments of two lineages colliding and creating the new, somewhere it is written how this merging of DNA creates a pathway, a life that is important to the world’s great mystery. The ancestors paying their life to a pathway that leads on, and personally how ours will too, that one day we will be the ancestors. 

 
 

The veil thinning allows them to reach us, It allows us to connect to them. My own Celtic ancestors would dress up on Samhain/ Halloween as the dead beings that crossed through the veils, dressing as them so they were seen as them and not dragged back to the liminal spaces of the dark. I find this really interesting and symbolic too of our own journey here, how we are born to move on, evolve, change the story, not be dragged back to the shadows and the sufferings they went through so we didn’t have to. But often we are. I feel the rise of the world of ancestral healing, ancestral medicine, ancestral psychological work really growing in momentum as we realize we can call upon them to support us through this time, this time where we are as humans going through a gross evolution. 

 
 

The veils are quite literally thinning in the world around us as we see the corruptness of those that govern us, the evolution of pharmaceutical medicine that is dominating a dark landscape and removing us from the innate ancestral medicine we all hold, and have access to. The extinction of animal species and our horrific treatment of them. The rape of the feminine, abuse of the child, and the demise of the masculine, as he ravages and destroys the world in which he lives. ( I am speaking of energies here not male and female.) The threat of war, famine, genocide, control. We are removing the essence of our own ancestral lineage from where it was centered… around the Mother and the devotion and worship of her. The earth as our mother …. We are making ourselves orphans as we tear ourselves away from her breast and instead feed from power that is being sold to by every other false mother. Some of us know those false mothers will never nourish us and only lead us to our death, yet still, we feed on her. We have disconnected from the earth as an extension of ourselves, as an extent ion of the Mother, the ancestors. 

 
 

This evening I will pray to my ancestors, to help me feed from my true mother, to help me and the whole of the world to travel through the veils we are traveling through at warp speed with the mother's protection and Love.
