THE ENERGY OF EASTER WEEKEND DURING GLOBAL CRISIS
THE ENERGY OF EASTER WEEKEND DURING GLOBAL CRISIS
Let’s not forget that there is an energy behind Easter weekend whatever you believe in or don’t believe in! Many of will engage with the energy of death and resurrection and connect to the story of Jesus and what ‘Christ’ means. Or you may just exchange eggs and share family time. Whatever you do is connected to the Easter energy. I will be connecting to the Christ consciousness that in mysticism is the state of awareness of our true nature, that we all have a higher self, and are Children of God. It means opening to that ‘what is’ and questioning why we are here and the fact that what we perceive is only a small fraction of what is happening around us that we are part of something much bigger .
Jesus is symbolic of this journey and his story is an illustration of the path, the journey of finding that true self , finding your inner goodness and working to serving all others and humanity. The Church and its teachings over time has distorted this message and turned many against the teachings that are so profoundly life changing and mystical.
I believe that the Jesus , a cosmic being ( and there have been many on this planet) was not the man the church tried to sell to us. He is a guide to how we handle what is also going on in this world today. What is needed as this turmoil wreaks havoc in our lives is to take a deep journey inside ourselves and wonder why we are seeing a mass crisis in our world ; a pandemic , global warming, rich and poor divide getting bigger, horrific cruelty to the animal world, human trafficking, the rise of satanical structures and behaviour, a divide between us in the form of race, beliefs, wealth, sexuality etc.
How does the inner world inside of us contribute to that. How do we journey into the self and see where we are behaving in a way that contributes to those things. That’s where the real work is. This is what is called at this time. How many of are doing this? How many of us want to be part of this mystical movement that could really make what is happening in our world what mystics call the ‘dark night of the soul’ be meaningful instead of a time of desperation and suffering?
We are being asked to take a look inside of the self, what needs to change. The world is changing IT WILL NOT GO BACK to what it was before and nor should it. This is a DEATH cycle and our world has many of them. How will you change your life now to accommodate how it is heading? Will you take a look at your life and the way think, the way you behave and consider what needs to change in you that can change the way things are? How much time are you giving to this rather than to the desperation, or the ignoring of what’s going on?
This is what is needed for the rebirth and resurrection.
Programmes like Seaspiracy are airing in our collective at the moment to show us the great DEATH that has to occur to bring fish to the table ( symbol of Jesus) so that WE can make a change. I have seen many comment on how others need to change but how do YOU contribute to that?
This time can be viewed as a spiritual crisis rather than a psychological one, and we have in some way got to surrender into this. I know how hard that is , I have such a fight response and all parts of me want to fight the system and push against the narrative, and in doing this I feel utterly helpless, and then I will wait for the rest to join me because I know that I alone cannot take it on. So instead of my usual response I decided to take a year long journey into psychospiritual education through Jungian individuation to do that inner work, to see my shadow and the behaviour that I participate in that creates this colossal dark shadow that sits on our collective. I want to be part of the rebirth and the change that this is leading us into , I want the old structures to fall , because they have colluded with darkness and created suffering for many. I see there are places in me that need to change and I can only work on me. I pray for others each and every night that as this crisis develops and each and every one of us is embroiled in our own personal turmoil, that we turn inside of ourselves and make the changes that this requires.
Easter remind us of the Christ Consciousness of Jesus as a symbol of assisting others, caring for others, making sacrifices for others because we care what world we all live in. In a time of such disconnection I pray daily that we reconnect, that we all find respite in being connected to something mystical and magical , something bigger than us ( oh how the ego hates that!) I pray for all those suffering during this time as I realise that I am more fortunate than many and should use that to help others. I pray that we stop being so driven by desire for material matter even though it costs suffering of others on so many levels. I pray hard for the rebirth of this planet that is coming … but only after a long death process and I know the length of that process is dependent upon how long it takes us all to realise it is us all as individuals that need to change.
I pray that this Easter people feel deeper into the message than the chocolate on their lips and the time with their family and friends.
