Do we recognise animal nature inside our own self?
Do we recognise animal nature inside our own self?
Gosh aren't we all just navigating difficult times, I'm frustrated and outraged with what's going on in the world and then profoundly grateful for the world I live in. I was saddened by a post yesterday where I read someone ask advice for keeping a cat off their land and what opened was a lot of disgusting comments like 'shoot it' I rarely see those comments on my own feeds as I have worked hard at removing that kind of mentality from my life , but that doesnt mean to say it doesn't exist and sometimes I am reminded of that 'killer' that lives in us all.
We all have it .. but do we recognise it in ourself ? I know I'm my psychological /spiritual work it was very hard to unearth that part of me. If you eat meat , if you want to kill anything for your gain , benefit or ease that energy lives within you . It's a dark energy and psychologically we can unearth it so that is doesn't gather gusto from the dark depths and act out . Part of the problem on this planet is our belief as humans we have more right to be here than anyone else. We rank everything , we decide whether an animal is 'good' or 'bad'... Human life as well as the animal world. What gets to live , and how it lives , what gets to die and why . I find it upsetting when anyone wants to purposely hurt another anything. We already so unconsciously create alot of harm on this planet.
I sat by the river yesterday and had one of those moments when I totally connected to all the nature around me and all the beings that have been GIFTED to planet and I was totally grateful.
The shamans I worked with in Peru told me that any animal or part of an animal we reject , is a part of ourself we reject and if we think we don't .. we need to take a bit more time to do some self reflection. So if theres an animal you don't 'like' or repels you , or part of their behaviour you don't like take a look at its symbolism and then what part of yourself you reject .
I never really 'liked' cats before I came to France , cats symbolism feminine instincts, independence , liberty , spiritual enlightenment, initiation , balance and hope . Lord knows I had to address some of these areas ! So thanks Cat .... X
We can contribute good or bad to this world and you will never know which way you contribute negatively until you start to look at your behaviours more closely and actually drop enough of your ego to do it honestly.
It's very revealing .
