The veils are thinning more and more, and many of us see clearly the old structures revealing themselves, literally collapsing and dying In front of our eyes. Many will hold onto the old and cling to dear life for what feels safe to them, but what they hold onto is really the problem.

The world is changing swiftly around us and rightly so ... We simply can't go on the way we have been :

Disconnected 

Worshipping false Gods  

Believing the media! 

At war 

Human trafficking 

Genocide

Colonialism 

Social division 

Poverty 

Starvation 

Economic disaster 

Climate collapse 

Cruelty to animals 

Extinction of species 

Raping and pillaging the planet 

Pandemics 

Need I go on?  The change is happening whether we like it or not, evolution demands we evolve and she will drag us with her screaming and shouting. The corruption that has been hidden from many is seeping to the surface like raw sewage but still, some cannot smell it.

I see people not even being able to have decent conversations about that they agree with or disagree with, habitual learned behaviors to insult, blame, or shame.  Or when we hold a different opinion and usually one that goes against mainstream thinking, people feel challenged or try to silence us, as though our opinion or outlook is not valid as it’s not the same as the majority. I discussed with a friend the other day the art of discussion that many of us learned through education (if we were privileged enough to receive one) and how quickly we forget that education when we come across a topic we don't agree with. How do we forget that it's usually the ones challenging popular beliefs that change this world for the better? 

I see an older generation still in the shackles of establishments that have not served them, ones that they served: all their money, time, and life force to and were fed scraps back, and became overwhelmingly appreciative of those scraps! It’s like the majority of the world has a severe case of Stockholm syndrome. It's clear now more than ever that the establishments have created chaos, suffering, loss, and tragedy in this world, yet still, we keep giving them the power to cause more. They are a reflection of us. 

This all won’t change until we do … and believe me, many of us are seeing the shackles that hold us, the systems that depend on our enslavement and the separation of one another. There is a slow but sure movement towards not believing everything that is fed through the mainstream media, challenging the old views and what you have been told to do. There are people that are researching beyond the popular narrative, challenging their own beliefs and ideologies … 

The whole pandemic as horrific as it was also a catalyst for many to see beyond the veils and as it reveals itself, more and more people are beginning to let go of ego and pride and say that something is not quite right. Yes, the ego takes a knock to be wrong, yes the ego likes to make us feel small because we just followed something we were told to do and naively followed, yes we feel bad because we may have made decisions that impacted people we love… but we can swallow that.  Our ego wants us to win, to be right, to be on top, to be the most powerful one. There is little to no regard for learning, understanding, growing, or getting outside of our comfort zone. It wants us to avoid being mature at all costs, it keeps us stuck… what if we were all to challenge that? What if we shut that up and listened to someone no matter how challenging their opinion? What if we opened and didn’t close? What if we admitted we have been wrong with some opinions and beliefs and may still be? 

I think we can all agree that this world needs to change and it can for the better! The question is, how do WE become that change?
