OPENING OUR VOICE , OUR FREEDOM IN SPEECH, REMOVING CENSORSHIP FROM OUR WORDS.

In our WOMEN’S HOUR call last night we spoke about how we as women hold a great power in coming together to speak , in conversation, in speaking on important topics , in generally having authentic real conversation where we can say what we want, right or wrong, in love , and in anger …  It has become increasingly difficult to have conversations when you are doing the inner work, the spiritual work, or even if you are not doing the work. You are always in some way filtering what you say , consciously wondering if what you are saying is right or wrong, holding back in case you offend, restraining in case you are judged or judging . The new age bowled us over with being RIGHT , being spiritual ,conscientious ,  loving etc and  this blocked our throat chakra , and when you block the throat chakra you begin to still the energetic of the lower chakras: heart, power, emotional and foundational.   We get blocked up.  This in itself has been an agenda. It is time that we got real about the conversations we are having, it’s time we broke down all those new age nuances and rules and very unrealistic and de-humanising projections of how we should speak. Even concepts of non -violent communication although in theory are wonderful teachings of how to communicate better , left us all a bit afraid of our own speak.    We really have to start opening our throats chakras, start using our voices, speak out whether we are right or wrong , what ever place we are in and start to hold each other in that. Start to communicate that something might be hurtful , start to share that there is shadow in what might be being said and that it is OK, that the humanness of speaking is littered with mistakes and we can all work with that and through that. 

I am noticing more and more that we have to hold back what we feel or believe in case we offend , I see that when that repression happens that it builds in the body , blocking up the energy field , impacting the emotional, mental , physical and spiritual capacities. In some of us it will spit out machine gun style at someone somewhere who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time ! or we will keep swallowing it until it blocks the energetic system so much it manifests as illness, disease or health issues.  

We spoke last night for an hour about how we were feeling , we moaned , we complained, we projected, we laughed, we cried and we just spoke. It was like oiling our feminine throat cog .. we allowed the throat chakra to open up.  We held the other in her projections and told her that it was a projection and it was ok .. how was she feeling? What created that? We held her as she cried and spoke of the shame she held, we laughed at the ridiculousness of one woman’s situation as she navigated her anger at having to drink a fake coffee so she could walk the streets with the dreaded C word restrictions. 

It’s time we allowed truth , realness, difference, openness, emotions, anger, projection, judgement and didn’t take it so bloody personally. It’s time we allowed our imperfections to rise to the surface and be held so that we can change them in an environment of love and support , not judgement and exile. Its time we owned our triggers and took them inside , let them move the pain in us before we spit them into the face of another. It’s not easy … but we got to start somewhere right? 

I look forward to our women’s hour where we can speak openly about topics we chose between us, about the world and how it impacts us, in a safe space , calling out all that comes up as it does.  

It’s important we all have the opportunities to open up in these spaces , the rose doesn’t stay a bud because the environment around her is full of threats .. she blooms and expresses herself regardless of the external factors. So should we.
