HAPPY LUGHNASADH !Lughnasadh (LOO-nuh-suh) celebrated on the 1st of August, marks the beginning of the harvest season and is one of the four major Celtic fire festivals.

For Druidesses and modern-day practitioners of earth-based spirituality, it is a time to honor the sacred cycles of nature, give thanks for the first fruits of the land, and connect with ancestral traditions. Rooted in reverence for the sun god Lugh and the goddess of the grain, this festival blends ritual, music, and offerings into a deeply feminine expression of gratitude and renewal. Druidesses gather in sacred groves or open fields, wearing flowing robes, weaving corn dollies, and offering bread baked from the first sheaves of wheat. Through ceremonial dance, storytelling, and connection to the land, Lughnasadh becomes both a celebration of abundance and a prayer for continued sustenance as the wheel of the year turns toward autumn.
