THE DANCE OF THE STARS IN THE FEMININE PSYCHE

How the feminine psyche dances with the stars.

There was a time when the stars were not charts, calculations, or predictions, but companions to the way of the feminine.

For women deep in the ancient past and living with the earth and beyond as part of her very own Psyche, the cosmos and the stars were a vast mirror of the inner world ; of womb, blood, dream, and feeling. The heavens did not stand above the body but moved through it. Changes in the sky were felt as changes in the self, long before they were named or measured.

In those times, there were no screens pulling attention downward, no constant noise fragmenting awareness. Nights were truly dark. Quiet. Spacious. Women lived beneath the stars, not just glancing up occasionally and witnessing how beautiful they were, but watching them return again and again, season after season, until the patterns entered their bones and sang to them.

The movements of the heavens were sensed. Certain stars rising would stir the womb. Shifts of light and darkness would alter mood, sleep, desire, and dream. The body responded naturally to the great rhythms overhead, because there was nothing separating inner life from the sky above. The constillations would configure something deep within the psyche.

This is how astrology was once known ; not as a system of fate, but as a language of relationship. The stars were glittering mirrors reflecting the stories of the Goddesses , women already knew them through lived experience ; through birth and loss, devotion and wildness, silence and song. Their stories recieved and reflected , a great symbiosis of the feminine prinicple.

The feminine mysteries were about belonging. Belonging to time, to rhythm, to the great weaving that moves between sky and flesh. What appeared above was echoed below. What lived in myth lived in the psyche. What stirred in the heavens stirred in the womb.

Something of this knowing has never left the feminine body.It has simply been quieted by distraction. And yet, when women slow down, when attention returns inward, when the night sky is once again allowed to speak ; memory begins to surface and we REMEMBER.

I speak this remembering as i share the ancient constellations and movements of feminine kinships. This world has long fascinated but over the recent years and through my study of astrological psychology a deep remembering has happened as the movements have once again been felt in my body.

The up and coming dance of the moon with the Seven Sisters brought forward a remembering of them in me. Their story carries the imprint of women held together through time, woven into the heavens when the world could no longer hold them. I remember me through them and more deeply connect to other women through this reflection

If you feel the pull to remember what this kind of relationship with the stars once felt like , not just through the mind, but through the womb and the psyche — I have created a gentle practice to support that remembering.
