A DAY OF LOVE & THE COMPASSION OF THE ROSE PRIESTESS

Saint Valentine’s Day arrives as a global celebration of love, and the Rose Priestess honours this moment through the ancient power of the Red Rose, the timeless symbol of the heart, beauty, devotion, sensuality, and the living pulse of compassion. This article reconnects Valentine energy to the wider web of humanity, inviting spiritual women to carry love beyond romance and into collective remembrance, prayer, and presence. Inspired by Mary Magdalene, whose mission stayed close to human suffering in times of grief and upheaval, the Rose Priestess path holds tenderness and truth together, offering rose medicine to those who hurt, those who grieve, and those who live through hardship across the world. A call into sacred love as a lived practice, a heart centred transmission, and a Valentine offering that includes the forgotten, the displaced, and the suffering.

On Valentine’s Day the world turns its face toward love, and this feels right, this feels needed, this feels like a collective remembering that the heart matters, that tenderness matters, that beauty and devotion belong in the centre of human life, and I honour the simplicity of that, the way a single day can invite millions of people to soften, to reach, to offer something sincere, to name what they feel. I know these days should not need to be claimed as the only day we do this , but we actually do ....beacause we do forget and the energy of a day like this reminds us.

I also feel the Rose moving in a wider way than romance, the ancient Rose Priestess current, which deems the red rose as the symbol of the heart, the colour of blood and life force and sacred desire, the pulse of beauty that restores the soul, the sensuality that brings spirit back into the body and the devotion that turns a moment into a rite. The Rose Priestess lineage lives as a living frequency, a way of holding love with reverence, keeping the heart awake, allowing pleasure to become prayer, and of embodying a tenderness that carries strength inside it.

Valentines day for me as a Rose Priestess, the Rose asks for breadth and space. Spiritual women, women of the temple, women who walk with the mysteries, hold a love that reaches beyond the private sphere, beyond the couple, beyond the small story. We really work on trying to remain connected. We try to stay in the centre of the web of life. We keep our hearts turned toward the suffering in the world, toward those who carry grief, displacement, hunger, fear, violence, loss, towards those whose bodies and homes and families have been torn open by forces they never asked for, toward those who feel forgotten, unseen, unheard. Our training and the work we have done on ourselves allows us to hold the space, keep our hands and hearts on the threads of the web even when we face our own turmoil.

This is part of the Rose Priestess remembrance. Love is a force that includes, love is a devotion that travels to all , love is a prayer with hands and breath and presence, love is beauty that refuses to become escapism, and love is sensuality that keeps the nervous system open enough to feel what is true.

💖Love is heart-work that stays connected to humanity💖

Mary Magdalene carries this template. Magdalene has inspired Rose Priestesses because she is the one who stays near, the one who keeps vigil, the one whose love remains awake inside public suffering, whose mission holds both intimacy and collective grief. Her devotion does not retreat into comfort, but allows tenderness which becomes service. Her presence became a balm, and she faced on the suffering of others in the midst of her own.

The Magdalene current teaches spiritual sovereignty and embodied compassion as one stream, rose and cross as one initiation, beauty and sorrow held in the same hands, the capacity to love deeply while staying woven to the pain of others. So on Valentine I offer red roses to the beloved in my arms, to the beloved inside my life, to the beloved inside myself, and I also offer red roses outward, across borders, across languages, across shattered places, across frightened nights, across long waiting, across the quiet despair that people hide behind brave faces. I send the Rose as a blessing. The Rose will be sent to warm the heart and to soften what has become hardened through survival. I send the Rose as dignity to those who have been treated as disposable, as protection to the vulnerable, as nourishment to the weary, as comfort to the grieving, as courage to those who keep going.

And I let this be a priestess act, a simple devotional act, a moment of alignment in the field of love, where romance remains beautiful and worthy of celebration, and compassion remains woven into the same altar, where pleasure remains sacred and conscience remains awake, where the heart expands enough to hold both the sweetness of this day and the reality of the world, where the Rose becomes a bridge between personal love and collective devotion. Hand on heart, breath steady, red rose blooming inside the chest, I choose love that reaches, love that includes, love that stays connected, love that becomes a living prayer.

Can we extend a red rose to someone in our life that is struggling and facing difficulties?

Can we add red roses to our altars, while lighting a candle and pray for all others that suffer?

Can we buy ourselves a red rose as a symbol of love for our own suffering?

I would love this sentiment to be shared , and to see the photos of all your RED ROSES .. holding the energy of love and connection in a time its most needed.
