Coming Home to the Body
There's something about a Full Moon in Taurus that feels like finally exhaling after holding your breath for too long. The Moon loves being here as Taurus is her exaltation, the sign where lunar energy finds its most grounded, sensual expression. This is about descending into our bodies as holy vessels of divine intelligence.
The Moon as Water, The Body as Earth
Think about water for a moment. It takes the shape of whatever contains it, moves with invisible currents, responds to the pull of the Moon herself. Our bodies are approximately 60% water, our emotions literally flow through us as fluid, as chemistry, as sensation. We are feeling beings, and those feelings live in the tissues, the belly, the throat that tightens, the heart that expands. Be in connection with your body and its emotions on this full moon and you will allow a movement of what is stagnating in your water body.
The Full Moon in Taurus asks: What is your body trying to tell you?
When the Moon reaches fullness in this most embodied of signs, we're invited to listen to the divine intelligence that speaks through physical sensation rather than mental chatter. That tightness in your shoulders isn't just tension; it's information. That craving for specific foods, that exhaustion, that sudden surge of energ, —these are the body's way of communicating what the mind often misses.
Sensuality as Spiritual Practice
Taurus teaches us that divinity is here, all around us in all moments, in the smell of coffee, in the weight of a blanket, in the pleasure of bare feet on earth. This Full Moon illuminates the sacred in the ordinary, the spiritual in the sensual.
This is water (Moon, emotions, intuition) being held by earth (Taurus, body, physical form). When water has no container, it dissipates. When emotions have no body to move through, they become anxiety, disconnection, a vague sense of being unmoored. But when we root down into physical sensation, when we feel what we feel through the body rather than just thinking about it, we become whole.
The Body as Vessel
Under this Taurus Full Moon, we're reminded that the body is a vesselan and one that is meant to be tended, honored, filled with what nourishes them.
What needs tending in your vessel right now?
The Taurus Moon wants you to feel all of it; the grief in your hips, the joy in your chest, the anger in your jaw. She wants you to know that these sensations are intelligent, that your body has been keeping score and keeping you safe, even when your mind wanted to push through.
Divine Intelligence in Sensation
There's a knowing that comes through the body that the mind can't access. It's the gut feeling that was right. The hair standing up on your neck. The way your whole system relaxes around certain people and contracts around others. The Moon in Taurus says: Trust this. This is divine intelligence moving through water and earth, through the very substance of you. You must be in your body connection to access all of this.
The Work of This Moon
So what does this Moon ask of us?
To stop abandoning our bodies in pursuit of productivity, perfection, or transcendence. To recognize that we are not ghosts driving meat suits; we are these bodies, and they are wise, and they are holy, and they deserve our presence.
To let emotions move through rather than getting stuck in the mind's endless analysis. To cry when we need to cry, to feel pleasure without guilt, to rest without earning it.
To remember that self-care isn't just about bubble baths and face masks (though it can be)it's listening to the animal wisdom of when to rest, when to move, what to eat, who to be near, what to release. BEING IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR BEING!
The Full Moon in Taurus is an invitation to come back to your precious body, come out of the mind and drop deep into the depth of yourself.
