MAGDALENE in our time ...

Mary Magdalene is walking with us now, recognises this moment in our timeline as the familiar trembling that comes when an old world is shedding its skin. She knew a time when power was brutal, truth was dangerous, bodies were controlled, women silenced, and love itself was persecuted, and she learned then that the deepest response was not despair nor withdrawal but radical presence. She would not turn away from the suffering of the world, infact she would kneel beside it, listening with the fierce tenderness of one who has already survived the unthinkable. Magdalene learned to stand in devotion when everything sacred was being dismantled, to tend the flame when hope appeared extinguished, to remain rooted in love even as grief cracked her open. She would meet this era the same way she met her own, by anchoring herself in prayer, grace, compassion and radical service; speaking out, sharing whats wrong with the world, highlighting that the patriachal structures in charge are distorted dark and hardened in the heart. She would hold the brokenness of the world in her body and refuse to let it harden her heart. She would remind us that transformation is born in the dark, that upheaval is often the threshold, and that love, when embodied with courage and care, becomes a medicine strong enough to carry the world through its crossing.
How else do you think she would act in this time?
